Fishing, Canoeing & Kayaking
If you enjoy fly fishing, you can fish Cedar Lake & the Sumallo River from July 1st - Oct 31st. You can expect to find Rainbow Trout, Bull Trout & Dolly Varden in the adjacent Skagit River, which is fed by the winding Sumallo River.
ATVing, Dirtbiking, SxS & Snowmobiling
Sunshine Valley is home to many trails perfect for off-roading. For a map of the trails; Trail Forks is a fantastic resource, used by Sunshine Valley's own ATV Club.

Outdoor Ice Skating
If you know Sunshine Valley, you likely know the well-loved community ice skating rink. Located on Lakeside Drive overlooking Cedar Lake, it has been a gathering place for classic family fun for years. The rink is typically open from November through April.
For Family Time & Relaxation
Enjoy the outdoor Heated Swimming Pool & Hot Tub at the Sunshine Valley Community Recreation Society
The Sunshine Valley Community Cooperative provides access and maintains recreational & social activities; which include 2 Tennis courts, baseball field & Rec centre.
Play Areas
There are several play areas throughout Sunshine Valley. The Community Centre features a playground beside a large sports field and volleyball court. The newest addition is located in Huckleberry, set within a spacious grassy area where kids can play safely.
For Community Spirit
Sunshine Valley is proud to have its own volunteer-run fire department. It’s a vital part of the community, and there is always room for more support.
If volunteering isn’t an option, you can still make a difference by donating, participating in fundraisers, or collecting empty beverage containers. Every bit goes toward supporting the SVVFD.

The Sunshine Valley Ratepayers Association (SVRA) is a volunteer association, based in Sunshine Valley, BC. It operates on funds raised through donations, grants and fundraising events. The SVRA promotes community education, sustainable public programs and encourages people of all ages to come out and enjoy the fun.
